Faceoff in Viral Marketing – Facebook Vs Twitter

The 2 titans in viral marketing are currently Facebook and Twitter even though Twitter only has a fraction of the number of users of Facebook. At the time of this writing, Twitter has around 3 million users, compared to 200 million for Facebook, but all the buzz is about Twitter. Being a user of both online viral marketing services, I can certainly see why Twitter trounces Facebook in many ways, but will it be able to knockout the champion? Let's start by taking a look at some advantages of Twitter over Facebook. 5 Twitter Advantages: 1. Easy to get followers 2. Easy to follow people, no permission required, and few rules and restrictions. 3. Very simple and quick, maximum 140 characters per tweet 4. Allows aliases 5. Searchable, with full profile views Now let's take a look at some areas where Facebook has an advantage: 1. Fan page feature 2. Better support for multi-media, although this is improving in Twitter 3. Creates trust 4. Very viral 5. Event page feature Overall, Facebook is a lot more complex than Twitter. And it's much more cumbersome and restrictive to get friends on Facebook. Friends must approve you and if you are not a friend, you can not see a person's full profile. Facebook also has some archaic restrictions on adding friends. There is a friend threshold, and if you go over...

It's All About Prevention

As a preteen I can remember wading through my mother's magazines ignoring any and everything related to aging. I mean. Why should not I have? I was invincible! But now I'm older and wiser. At the ripe age of twenty-two I've become aware of my immortality. I know what you might be thinking. Why would someone of this age be at all concerned with aging. It's quite simple actually. Every day I see adults in their 20's and 30's making bad food choices, drinking alcohol excessively, smoking, etc., not giving a second thought to the effect it can have on their bodies. It's only when they reach their 40's, 50's and beyond that they start being concerned with their health, when their skin looks haggard and they start showing signs of illness. Many mistakenly blame these symptoms on the aging process. It's a part of life they say – nature taking it's course. But this could not be farther from the truth. The fact of the matter is that all of the abuse you've done to your body over the decades has taken it's toll. The reason why you felt so good during your youth despite the bad habits is because the human body is very resilient, but it can only take so much. Our bodies were not designed to ingest cheetos and twinkies. These are merely empty calories....

Surfing For Movies: Renting Movies Online

Did you know renting movies online has become more popular in recent years? The average cost of seeing a movie in a theater has nearly doubled; therefore, many people have chosen to take the alternative approach – renting movies instead. Renting movies from the video store is still common; however, it does not offer the same convenience as renting movies online. First, you must drive all the way to the store. And once you get there, you're faced with the possibility of not finding exactly what you're looking for. Then, after searching for what looks like hours (and sometimes is), you may find yourself waiting in long check-out lines. If that were not enough, try forgetting your account number or ID. Now you may experience a length interrogation process, or worse, if you have not forwarded anything in a while, you may be expected to take some extra time to re-apply for new membership. On top of all this, there's the late fees you should either forget to bring the movies back or the car breaks down, leaving you without transportation and unable to return the movies. Either way, just one or two days can quickly add up. On the other hand, with online rental companies, there's no driving. They also offer a wider selection of movies to choose from, quickly and easily. After signing up for their service,...
